goConnect is a project that works with vulnerable tenants such as people with anxiety and depression, long-term unemployed, carers, single parents, etc.
It aims to help people who feel lonely and isolated, encouraging them to try new skills, courses and volunteering roles.
A range of social activities, clubs and classes are used to engage with tenants, raise their confidence and self-esteem and help them reach their potential. The goConnect team will also refer tenants to relevant support agencies.
The project has proved to be beneficial to people living in Glen Oaks' communities - they have enjoyed taking part in activities ranging from knitting and crafting to photography and IT.
See our website noticeboard or community events page for information on the social activities, clubs or classes that are coming up.
