How we are supporting our most vulnerable tenants during the lockdown
Our wider role projects at Glen Oaks are working hard to engage with our most vulnerable residents. Our goConnect staff are currently phoning around all our vulnerable tenants who are aged 60+ and any that have long term health conditions to check if they need help with grocery shopping, prescription collection, befriending, or other support needs.
Our Starting Out Project is also busy with staff offering financial advice or welfare benefits including applications for Universal Credit, emergency Scottish welfare grants and emergency vouchers for gas and electric etc in addition to the work that Laura Mandelson is doing. Ryan is also assisting anyone with Digital access for Home shopping deliveries, getting on-line, using smart phone, tablets etc.
We are trying to identify anyone who has no help from family or friends, are isolated so that we can try to get as much help as possible for them.
If you are aware of a neighbour or someone in our community that might need support, please contact us on 0141 638 0999 (option 3)
